Summer Concert Series Continues with Pop Night

by Robbin Whachell |

COQUITLAM, BC, July 23, 2019 – Coquitlam’s Summer Concert Series continues with Pop Night on Friday, Aug. 2 at Town Centre Park from 7 – 9 p.m.

Presented by Coquitlam Centre and produced by the City of Coquitlam, this free event is the second of three shows taking place throughout the summer at the TD Community Plaza. With each night focusing on a different genre, there is sure to be something for every musical taste.

As part of the City’s ongoing efforts to improve our Summer Concert Series, we invited public input via our Facebook page and the event survey. Pop music was a clear public favourite and ranked in the top three genres so it’s back after a two-year hiatus.

Kicking off Pop Night is crowd favourite Emma Currie, performing from 7 to 7:45.  Her youthful energy, enthusiasm and dynamic pop line-up features Top 40 favourites ranging from Shania Twain, Demi Lovato and Leona Lewis to Aretha Franklin, Elvis Presley and Stevie Wonder.

Headlining Pop Night is the quintessential pop band Trilojay, who will be on stage from 8:15 – 9 p.m. Known for their fun, up-tempo pop hits, Trilojay always has the crowd dancing with their unique twists to crowd favourites and addictive pop tunes.

RSVP to the City of Coquitlam Facebook event page to receive reminders and other concert updates.  For more information, visit www.coquitlam.ca/summerconcerts.

Plaza is the Perfect Outdoor Concert Venue
