Info meeting July 24 for industrial zone consolidation

by GS GS |

COQUITLAM, BC, July 22, 2014 – Coquitlam industrial property owners, business operators and realtors can learn more about planned changes to the city’s industrial zones at an information meeting set for July 24.

When: Thursday, July 24 – 3 to 7 p.m.
Where: Upper lobby, Hard Rock Casino, 2080 United Blvd, Coquitlam

The meeting is part of the city’s consultation process as it works towards replacing the current nine industrial zones with three new proposed zones. The new zone configuration is intended to better meet the needs of businesses, provide a broader range of permitted activities, and be more flexible for the property users. The project was initiated in response to input from the local business community.

Those who cannot attend the meeting may fill out a comment sheet at www.coquitlam.ca/industrialzones or provide feedback by email to karen.wong@coquitlam.ca. All written feedback must be received by Aug. 7.

More information and a sign-up form for email updates are also posted on the website.

The City intends to assign all existing industrial zoned properties to the zone that best fits their existing activities.
