Browse Coquitlam Archives with Quest

by GS GS |

COQUITLAM, BC, August 14, 2014 – The City of Coquitlam Archives announces the launch of Quest, the Archives’ online search portal.

Quest offers the opportunity to browse through descriptions of historical records held in the City Archives.

Visitors to the site can access the hand-written minutes from the first Council meeting in Coquitlam on August 22nd, 1891; read about Emeri Paré, one of Coquitlam’s first police constables; see the 1913 Letters Patent that incorporated the District of Fraser Mills when it seceded from the District of Coquitlam; or learn about the celebration of May Day in Coquitlam and see portraits of past May Queens.

Users can also read about all of the collections currently held by the Archives and perhaps discover something they didn’t know about Coquitlam’s history.

The Archives’ collection is continuously growing and Quest will be updated regularly as new records are acquired and processed.

Visit www.coquitlam.ca/archives to learn more about the Archives and to access Quest, the online search portal.
