Coquitlam Launches New Corporate Partnership Program

by GS GS |

COQUITLAM, BC, Tuesday, March 3, 2015 – Coquitlam City Council is launching a new marketing partnership program called Coquitlam Corporate Partners that will generate new revenue to enhance the programs and services offered to residents.

Through Coquitlam Corporate Partners, businesses and other organizations will have a unique opportunity to raise their profile in the community and engage with the people who live, learn, work and play in Coquitlam. Corporate partners will benefit from City-wide exposure as valued neighbours who are making positive contributions to Coquitlam’s quality of life.

In 2015, the City will focus on marketing opportunities that include:

  • naming rights for the recently opened Poirier Forum,
  • naming rights for the proposed Town Centre Outdoor Performance & Event Plaza,
  • program sponsorship for Neighbourhood Nights held throughout the summer months,
  • event sponsorship for Coquitlam’s Canada Day celebrations, and
  • event sponsorship for the Light the Hall event held annually in December.

The City will also seek marketing partners for the many year-long events being planned for Coquitlam’s 125th Anniversary in 2016.

Revenue from Coquitlam Corporate Partners will be held in a sponsorship reserve fund and directed back into City services and programs. The City will use this revenue to enhance the cultural and recreational opportunities within Coquitlam and help fund facility operations and maintenance.
