by GS GS |

COQUITLAM, BC, Friday, March 13, 2015 – Coquitlam Fire/Rescue has completed their investigation following a structure fire at 3000 Riverbend Drive on Monday, March 9, 2015.

The results concluded that the fire is not considered suspicious. It started in an overheated cooking device being used in the garage of one of the homes.

In addition to the source unit, two additional homes in the block of five were also heavily damaged and will remain unoccupied, pending restoration.

Residents are reminded that most outdoor cooking devices should only be used in well-ventilated, non-enclosed areas and kept well away from any combustible materials.
