Animals for Adoption

Viewing: Other

Melvin has some of the most beautiful feathers and would look more at home in a jungle. He (we are only guessing as it is nearly impossible to tell) seems happiest when out of his cage and on his gym, but isn’t an overly affectionate bird. Melvin will only go to a home that has exotic bird experience as they are not a simple pet to own. Conures can live up to 30 years, but we are unsure of how old Melvin is. Contact the shelter for more information on Melvin or to arrange an interview for adoption.

All the animals that arrive at the Shelter are stray. The information that we have on the animals has been gathered since their arrival at the Shelter, with the help of our volunteers. We do our best to assess the animals and disclose everything we know regarding health and temperament to interested adopters.

Adoption applications are available at the Shelter only. The application review process can take between 24-48 hours. The Shelter does NOT do same day adoptions.
