Lougheed B-Line Construction Project
TransLink is working to improve its bus service in Coquitlam with the construction of the Lougheed B-Line. The Lougheed B-Line will bring rapid-bus service to this important corridor for the first time, connecting the communities of Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, Port Coquitlam and Coquitlam with fast and reliable bus service that rivals the speed of SkyTrain. As part of the project, a new multi-use pathway will be constructed along the south side of Lougheed Hwy from Pinetree Way to Westwood Street.

Construction will take place along Lougheed Hwy (and Barnet Hwy), between Johnson Street and Westwood Street, with a majority of the work taking place at Coquitlam Central Station. Construction is scheduled to begin the first week of July and will take approximately three months (weather dependent). Work will be completed in phases, with some work taking place during the daytime hours (7am to 5pm) and some work taking place during the overnight hours (7pm to 4am). Every effort will be made to minimize impacts during construction.
