How to Pay your Property Taxes

Property Tax Notices will be mailed out June 5, 2020.

Due Date: Sept. 30, 2020

  • Those who can pay before July 2 are encouraged to do so to support the delivery of essential municipal services.

Period Covered: Jan. 1 – Dec. 31, 2020

Property Tax Deferment: Eligible homeowners may defer property taxes through the Provincial Property Tax Deferment Program.

Payment Checklist

  1. Select which column you need to pay on your Property Tax Bill - A, B or C
  2. Make your payment
  3. Claim your Home Owner Grant (if eligible)

We do not accept credit cards for Property Tax payments.

Internet Banking

  • On your bank’s internet banking site, set up a new bill payment for Coquitlam Taxes using the 8-digit folio number from your Property Tax Bill.
  • Please ensure the transaction is completed 2-3 days prior to due date.

At Your Bank

  • Property Tax Bills are payable at most banks or credit unions.
  • Please keep the stamped copy of your bill for proof of payment.

By Mail

  • Mail your cheque and/or Home Owner Grant application form to: City of Coquitlam, 3000 Guildford Way, Coquitlam, BC V3B 7N2
  • Cheques post-dated up to the due date are accepted.
  • Envelopes must bear a Canada Post postmark prior to the due date.
  • Do not mail cash.

Drop Box

Drop off cheques post-dated up to the due date and/or Home Owner Grant application forms 24 hours a day to the following locations (do not leave cash):

  • City Hall (3000 Guildford Way): Underground parking area or main entrance facing Burlington Drive
  • Poirier Sports and Leisure Complex (633 Poirier St.): Main entrance facing Poirier

In Person at City Hall

  • Drop-in access is now in place at City Hall with controls in place and reduced capacity. Due to limits on the number of people allowed inside City Hall there may be long queues. Please consider one of the payment options listed above.
