Summit Community Centre is located on the west side of Summit Middle School on Westwood Plateau. Check out our various drop-in and registered programs for all ages. We offer children's programs and adult drop-in basketball and volleyball.

What's Happening?

Breakdance (13 – 18 yrs)

Learn the fundamentals of this creative and exciting style of dance! Curriculum may include skills such as stand-up grooves and footwork, handstands to freezes, and spins off of your back. A final battle will take place in week eight to showcase the results of the dancer's achievements.

Sports: I Can Run, Jump & Throw! (4 – 5 yrs)

This class teaches FUNdamental movement skills (the base of all sports) through fun games and activities designed to give preschoolers the confidence to move their bodies in a variety of ways. Jump, dodge, roll, run, and throw your way into this active class!

Guitar GirlMusic: Guitar All Levels (7  8 yrs)

Weekly guitar instruction for the beginner to intermediate player. Please bring your own guitar.

Fencing: Level 1 (11 yrs+)

This program is offered by the Tri-City Fencing Academy. Students will develop strong technical sport fencing skills.  All equipment is provided. Pre-requisite: Fencing: Youth Beginners or Fencing: Children Beginners 2.

ChessChess: Beginner (9  15 yrs)

Learn what you need to know to begin playing chess. Includes rules, fundamentals and development of analytical skills. No experience necessary. All equipment provided.

Ball Hockey (9  11 yrs)
