Hip Hop Drop-In

Drop into the Getaway Youth Centre on Fridays night to work on your hip hop skills with our resident instructor.

Friday Night Youth Toonie Skates

Youth aged 13-18 years old are welcome to attend our weekly Youth Toonie Skate.

When: Fridays |  Where: Poirier Sport and Leisure Complex​ - Arena 3

Time: 9:45​ - 11:00 p.m.  |  Dates: Sep​ 21 ​- Dec 21, 2018

Cost: $2.00/person (rentals are free) Head down to the skate shop when you arrive.

Poirier Youth Leadership Committee

An exciting, no-cost leadership opportunity for youth looking to develop leadership skills, make a positive contribution to their community and gain experience planning special events. Youth LeadershipCoquitlam Youth Council (CYC) – The 'Voice' of Youth

We provide ideas, feedback, and suggestions on city-wide initiatives, programs, and current issues facing youth in Coquitlam. We connect with our peers, gather opinions, and advocate for a youth-friendly community.

CYC meets every 2nd Wednesday from 4 – 5 p.m. beginning Sept​. 26 and continues through the end of June. Intake for 2018/2019 is now closed.

Youth Aquatic Action Teams

Are you looking for an exciting leadership opportunity? Enjoy planning events? If so, Coquitlam Aquatics is looking for enthusiastic youth (ages 13-18) to take on projects planning special events in our pools & arenas. This 6-8 week commitment involves weekly meetings and some additional time for planning. If you are eager, creative and proactive, join us! Teen FitnessJust for YOUth Fitness

Learn new workouts to keep your body strong and healthy in our youth-specific fitness classes. 

Ballet Fit (13 – 15 yrs)

This ballet-inspired class uses lightweight equipment for a full-body workout to increase flexibility. Focus is on toning the lower body and core muscles. | Register Now

Skills & Drills: Athletic Conditioning (13 – 15 yrs)

Work on drills to increase your fundamental skills for life-long participation in sports. A certified trainer will guide you through strength, cardio and conditioning drills to enhance your agility, coordination and speed. Teen Weight Training (13 – 16 yrs)

Our certified instructor will teach you the benefits of designing a weight training program that will work for your body. Learn proper body mechanics, the tools to use to get a great workout and nutrition tips to meet your body’s needs. Come dressed to exercise as each class includes a great workout. | Register Now
