Need a place to chill? Come visit our youth centres at Pinetree Community Centre and Poirier Community Centre where we offer: group activities, social support and public information. Our centres have tons of fun activities including ping pong, foosball, pool, video games and much more!

Leadership & Volunteer Opportunities

Leadership and volunteer opportunities are a great way to meet new people, gain valuable experience, have fun, and get involved in your community.

Poirier Youth Leadership Committee

An exciting, no-cost opportunity for youth looking to develop leadership skills, make a positive contribution to their community and gain experience planning special events. Committee members attend meetings, plus additional days as needed (must be a current City of Coquitlam Volunteer). For more information, contact

Have your voice heard and make a difference! Youth Council members provide feedback, ideas and suggestions on city-wide initiatives, programs and issues facing youth in Coquitlam. Open to students in Grade 10 – 12. 

Youth Aquatic Action Teams

Are you looking for an exciting leadership opportunity? Enjoy planning events? If so, Coquitlam Aquatics is looking for enthusiastic youth (ages 13 - 18) to take on projects planning special events in our pools & arenas. This ​six to eight week commitment involves weekly meetings and some additional time for planning. If you are eager, creative and proactive, join us!
