What's Happening

Runner w/ headlampTrail Running: Night Owls (19 yrs +)

Evening runs will explore some of the easier trails around the Tri-Cities in the dark, running by the light of headlamps. Under the cover of darkness, the trails come alive with sounds, smells and glowing eyes peering back from the bushes. Due to weather at this time of year, some runs may be re-scheduled. Pre-requisite: Comfortably run 5-km continuously and have the necessary equipment (good trail running shoes, a good headlamp, hydration, reflectors and warm/waterproof clothing). Runs are 90 mins (with breaks) but allow two hours in case of delays. Participants will be notified of meeting locations prior to start of program. | Register Now

fall coloursView the Fall Colours (12 yrs ​+)

This is a great three-step program for beginners to learn about hiking while enjoying the seasonal fall colours. The program will take place in local trails along the Coquitlam River, Colony Farms and Minnekhada High Knoll. Hikes are between 6 to 8 k​ms ​long. | Register Now

Franks' Trail & East Burke Lookout Intermediate Hike (12 yrs +)

This hike will take you along the trails on the lower eastern sections of Burke Mountain, starting with the Flow and Hustler trails, then Frank's Trail and along the Lower Line Trail to a spectacular viewpoint looking east over the Fraser Valley. Return via one of the mountain bike trails that descends to Conifer Road. Roundtrip distance of 7.5km, 410m of ascent. | Register Now

Coquitlam's 2019 Winter/Spring Program Guide will be available online by Wednesday, Oct. 31. You can pick up a printed copy of the guide from our recreation facilities starting Monday, Nov. 5. 

Registration for winter and spring programs (January to April) begins Wednesday, Nov. 7 at 12 a.m. for online registration and 6 a.m. for in person or phone registration.
