Parents' Night Out!

Parents, give yourself the night off! Drop your kids at Pinetree Community Centre for an evening of active gym games, cooking, crafts, science experiments and more! Snack included. Register only for the days you want. Please register at least one week in advance, a minimum of 5 participants is required to run the program. 7 – 10 yrs | Register Now

Football LinemanLineman Football Training

Do your kids play defensive lineman for their high school football team? This season may just be ending, but we’re offering a unique training program to keep the momentum going and get ready for the next season.

In this no-contact program, our coaches emphasize proper technique while teaching strategy and improving agility, flexibility and fitness. Coached by Tom Kudaba and Ric Graham of the Terry Fox Secondary School Football Program. 13 – 18 yrs | Register Now

Family Fitness

The family who exercises together, stays fit together! Did you know that the City of Coquitlam offers programming for the whole family?

Family Kickboxing: Mondays, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m., Pinetree Community Centre │Call 604-927-4386 to register
If you’re looking for an intense workout, don’t miss out on our Family Kickboxing class taught by a black belt martial-arts instructor who will teach you the technique behind punching and kicking using plyometric and cardio exercises . For ages seven and older.

Family Yoga: Sundays, 3 4 p.m., Poirier Sport and Leisure Complex or Sundays, 10 – 11 a.m. at Smiling Creek Activity Centre  │Call 604-927-4386 to register     
Looking for something at a slower pace? Our Family Yoga class is a great option for winding down and stretching. Learn poses that are short in duration to try in a pair, family team or on your own. For ages eight years and older.

Mom 2B Prenatal Fitness
Work on your cardiovascular and muscular strength with a certified pre-natal instructor while meeting fellow moms to be. | Register today

Prenatal Yoga
A gentle hatha yoga class designed for moms to be. This class includes stretches, breathing exercises and strength-building poses to help increase energy and stamina. All participants must submit a PARmed-X for Pregnancy prior to or at the first class. Form is available online at coquitlam.ca/fitness. | Register today

Post-natal Programs 

Take some time for you and baby to bond while keeping yourself fit and healthy. Check out these offerings for parent/guardian and baby.

Bootcamp 4u & Baby (Two to 12 months)
A strength and cardio-based class designed for moms who are eight weeks post-partum and pre-mobile babies. | Register today

Zumbini (One month to  four years)
Zumba for babies! From the creators of Zumba, Zumbini combines dance, music and educational tools for learning, bonding and fun with other little ones. A songbook is provided at the first class. Keep your little one moving to the beat! | Register today

Yoga: Adult & Baby (One to 11 months)
This class puts a focus on relaxation for you and baby. Learn how to relax and breathe fully while focusing on strengthening the abs, back and shoulders with the help of your baby. Open to either parent or guardian. | Register today

Yoga & Play: Adult & Child (18 months to five years)
This program focuses on mixing play and yoga to create a dynamic program that allows kids and adults to have fun and be more physically fit together! The class will have stations that use the principles of yoga while playing games, singing and working on physical literacy skills. | Register today
