Mountain Biking - GettyImages-544464786 socialMountain Biking Foundations (18 yrs +)

Interested in mountain biking but not sure where to start? A solid skill foundation can help! Program covers pre-ride safety checks, basic bike maintenance, trail safety and trail maintenance/building. Skills covered in this program include: stance, balance, gearing, climbing/descending, cornering and rolls. Participants must have a mountain bike in good working condition (front suspension recommended) and a well-fitting helmet. Last session will be a destination ride on a local trail. Exact locations will be send by email prior to course. Offered in partnership with the Learning Curve Mountain Biking Association and Tri-Cities Off Road Cycling Association (TORCA). | Register Now

Family CycleFamily Cycling Streetwise Workshop  (8 yrs ​+)

Learn safety skills and build confidence to ride on the road as a family. This program is for children 8+ and their caregiver. Child and adult should know how to ride comfortably (balance, pedal, steer). All participants must register and bring their own bike, helmet and closed-toe shoes. Includes theory, on-bike skills practice and a neighbourhood road ride. Taught by HUB Cycling certified instructors.

Sasamat Lake & Belcarra Bluffs Advanced Hike

​Visit the spectacular viewpoint at Belcarra Bluffs, with views out over Burrard Inlet from SFU to downtown Vancouver. Route will take in Sasamat Lake, Woodhaven Swamp and Admiralty Point, as well as many other interesting places and less known connecting trails. There will be some steep sections but a panoramic lunch near the highpoint of Belcarra Regional Park will definitely reward the effort. Roundtrip distance 15km, 750m of ascent. | Register Now

Coquitlam Crunch – reopening may 2014Crunch, Peak, Creek Intermediate Hike

Start off by climbing to the top of the Coquitlam Crunch. Then head over to Ridge Park where we'll climb to the summit and make our way to the fabulous viewpoint overlooking the eastern half of the Tri-Cities. From here, we'll head down to Hoy Creek which offers a beautiful green corridor back to our starting point. Roundtrip distance 14km, 550m of ascent. | Register Now

Franks' Trail & East Burke Lookout Intermediate Hike

This hike will take you along the trails on the lower eastern sections of Burke Mountain, starting with the Flow and Hustler trails, then Frank's Trail and along the Lower Line Trail to a spectacular viewpoint looking east over the Fraser Valley. Return via one of the mountain bike trails that descends to Conifer Road. Roundtrip distance of 7.5km, 410m of ascent. | Register Now
