Why are you switching to a new registration system?

We are currently using a dated recreation software application that is being discontinued by the vendor. This has provided us with an opportunity to move to a modern system to better meet the needs of our customers.

New System Features

  • User-friendly —  The user-friendly system allows you to register for programs on your computer, tablet or smart phone at any time of day.
  • Use an email address and personal password to sign in. No more Client ID or Family PIN number to remember.
  • A family account feature lets you keep track of your whole family's activities and schedules in one place.
  • Track your activity history and more at your fingertips in your personalized account.
  • Robust search functions will allow you to search for an activity by keyword, age, day, time or location.
  • View the availability of a class and immediately book online.

Will I need to create an account?

If you have registered for a program, booked a room or purchased a membership at any Coquitlam Parks, Recreation and Culture facility in the past two years, your customer profile will be transferred to the new system.

You should have received an email from communication@perfectmind.com with a link to verify your new account. The link will take you to our new registration software webpage, cityofcoquitlam.perfectmind.com. You must verify your new account before registering online for spring and summer programs. 

If you have never registered with the City before, or haven’t within the past two years, you will need to create an account to register for programs. New accounts can be created on or after March 4. 

How can I get an online login?

If you do not have an account, simply click the “Create an Account” link on the login page at cityofcoquitlam.perfectmind.com.

Where do I login?

I have an online login but forgot my password?

If you have forgotten your password, simply use the ‘forgot password’ link on the login page. A temporary password will be sent to the email address we have on file within a few minutes. The email will be sent from communication@perfectmind.com. If you don’t receive an email, be sure to check your spam folder just in case. 

When logging in using this temporary password, you will be prompted to replace it with a permanent password. 

Is my personal information secure?

Our new system meets the industry standard for encryption and security measures to protect people’s personal information. Should you choose to save your financial information for easy and fast transactions, your credit card information is encrypted and secure in our system.

At the same time, we strongly encourage you to choose a strong password and be diligent in protecting your personal information and account details. More information visit Coquitlam’s Privacy Policies page. 

Do I need to have an account to search for programs or view availability?

No. You can still search programs and see program availability at coquitlam.ca/registration. All new spring and summer programs (for May to August) will be online by Wednesday, March 11. However, if you would like to register for a program, you will need to have an online login.

I want to register online but don't want to give my email address, what do I do?

In order to register online, you will need an online login which requires an email address. You do not have to use your main email address; any email address will work. However, this is where all correspondence will be sent including password reset emails, registration confirmations, receipts, etc.

What if I don't want to provide an email address?

If you choose not to provide an email address for your account, you will not be able to register online, receive email business notifications such as course changes and expiry reminders for Coquitlam recreation memberships. 

I don't want to register online; can I just register in person or over the phone?

Yes, you will still be able to register in person at many of our recreation facilities or over the phone during customer service call centre hours. 

Phone registration hours:

  • Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. (except statutory holidays)
  • Saturday – Sunday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. (except statutory holidays)
  • Payment by Visa, MasterCard or American Express

Can I manage my own information in this system?

Yes, one of the features of this new system is that you can see and manage your own information. This includes adding family members, changing your contact information, adding a credit card to your account for easier checkout, managing your own login and seeing a schedule of the programs you are registered in.

If the program is full, how do I add myself to the waitlist? 

You will not be able to register for a program that is full, but you can add yourself to a waitlist. If a space opens for that program or additional sessions are added, you will be contacted by phone. If we are unable to reach you, your space may be given to the next person on the waitlist. You have 24 hours to respond to a waitlist notification. Placement on a waitlist does not guarantee a spot. 

How do I know when I’ve successfully registered for a program?

You have successfully registered for a program, class, or activity when you click the “Checkout” button on the payment screen. You will receive a confirmation email with all of the details. You can also view your current registrations by clicking on the “My Profile” button found at the top left and navigating to your schedule.

Can I withdraw from a course online?

Yes, customers can withdraw from courses online; however, some courses do not allow online withdrawals. If you experience problems, please call our customer service line (604-927-4386) for support. We’re available Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 6 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. (except statutory holidays). 

To withdraw from a program online:

  • Log into your account
  • Select the person whose course information you want to view
  • Scroll down to "Schedules" and click to expand
  • The courses you have registered for will appear in the calendar; select "Switch to list view"
  • Find the course you would like to withdraw from and click on "Actions" on the right hand side
  • Select “Withdraw” 

How can I see the credit on my account?

If you have credit on your account, you will see this during checkout. The credit will show as a payment option, and you can choose to use the credit, or to leave it on your account for a future transaction. Please note that the credit does not show on your “My Info” tab, but only shows during checkout.

How can I remove someone from my account?

To have someone removed from your account, simply contact customer service by email at prcs_info@coquitlam.ca.

Can I use a Coquitlam Parks, Recreation and Culture gift card online?

Yes, you can use your gift card online. During check-out, you will need to enter in the gift card number exactly as shown on the card, including symbols (e.g. %099999999999?).

Troubleshooting

I have previously held an account with the City of Coquitlam, but I can't login.

Our current database has accumulated client profiles that were obsolete or incomplete. To ensure that we only bring in current and accurate information into our new recreation software, not all accounts have been transferred into the new system.

Visit cityofcoquitlam.perfectmind.com to create a new account. 

 

I have an account, but I can't see the course I registered for.

There is a possibility of having multiple accounts using different email addresses. If you think this might be the case, please contact a customer service staff to have the accounts merged. In the case of a merge, staff will resend the up-to-date login information.
