Coquitlam is one of the fastest-growing municipalities in British Columbia, home to 149, 894 people (based on the 201​9 Census). Central Coquitlam is well-established, offering a mix of older and newer homes. The area, which covers 914 hectares (2,259 acres), is home to 15,400-plus people and most residential areas date primarily from subdivisions that occurred from the 1950s to the 1970s.
