The City of Coquitlam Fire/Rescue Department, under the direction of the Fire Chief, provides the 150,000 residents of the City with a 24 hours-a-day / 7 days-a-week operation.  This operation includes emergency and non-emergency responses to fire, medical, and public assist calls. Fire Prevention inspections, fire education programs, and fire investigation services are also provided by Coquitlam Fire/Rescue.

Our mission as a Fire Department is to provide a range of emergency responses, fire protection, and education programs designed to protect lives and property from the adverse effects of fire, sudden medical emergencies, or exposure to dangerous conditions created by people or nature.

Coquitlam Fire/Rescue attends emergency and non-emergency incidents, conducts investigations, inspections and fire education programs for our community. Coquitlam Fire/Rescue is an established fire department with highly trained personnel who are able to deal with many different types of emergencies that may occur.

Coquitlam Fire/Rescue takes a proactive approach in reducing the potential hazards and risks of fire through inspections and enforcement of codes, standards and regulations which are designed to provide preventative measures to reduce the start and spread of fire.
