Coquitlam is planning more than two dozen major recreation and cultural facility projects in the next 10 to 15 years.
In July 2020, the City began development of a new Major Recreation and Cultural Facilities Road Map – a user-friendly document that will distil and map out the complex process of funding, designing, constructing and operating more than 25 planned facility projects contained in various City plans and strategies.
The draft road map will be presented to Council in early 2021. In addition to providing a guiding plan for Council and City staff, the high-level document will provide more transparency for taxpayers by outlining the anticipated scheduling and costs to build, staff and run the facilities.
Read the staff report to learn more about the Road Map and upcoming major projects.
A three-party partnership between the City of Coquitlam, the YMCA of Greater Vancouver and Concert Properties on a project that will deliver a YMCA and more than double the size of Cottonwood Park in the Burquitlam area of Coquitlam.
