Coquitlam Town Centre Park Cleanup

Saturday, April 11, 2026

Join local volunteers for a community-led cleanup at the Coquitlam Town Centre Park. This initiative focuses on caring for one of Coquitlam’s most highly used public spaces by removing litter, encouraging stewardship, and promoting shared environmental responsibility.

The event builds on the momentum of a previous community cleanup held on Burke Mountain on September 27, where volunteers removed a pickup truck full of trash and nearly 4,000 cigarette butts from 4 trails, 12 parks, and green spaces. The strong turnout and impact highlighted the importance of continued stewardship across the city.

This cleanup is organized by Jeff and Vicky of Boro and Beyond Media with support from the City of Coquitlam’s Park Spark program. All cleanup supplies will be provided, and volunteers of all ages are welcome. If you have your own cleaning gear like bags, tongs, buckets, and gloves, you are also encouraged to bring those as well.

Snacks and drinks provided for volunteers, as well as face painting for kids and adults alike. Volunteers can also win prizes at the end of the event.

Residents are encouraged to participate, learn about being an excellent environmental steward, and contribute to keeping Coquitlam’s parks clean and accessible for everyone.

*Volunteers will need to fill out a waiver, as well as be present for the orientation from the Park Spark department at the beginning of the event.

This is a free event for all to attend, and students can get valuable volunteer hours, provided by Park Spark.
