Sign Up for the Scavenger Hunt by May 1

As part of the lineup of activities for Youth Week, we are thrilled to announce the return of the popular weeklong Scavenger Hunt for 2025 (Course ID 191117), inviting all Coquitlam youth aged 11 to 18 to join in on the excitement.

Throughout the week, youth will receive daily emails with clues leading them to spots around Coquitlam, where they can snap selfies and uncover the city's hidden gems. Registration is open now until May 1 at coquitlam.ca/registration, offering participants the chance to compete for exciting prizes whether exploring solo or with friends.

Local youth can enjoy a special Pickup Basketball Tournament (Course ID 188516) on Saturday, May 3 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Town Centre Park basketball courts (1299 Pinetree Way). Teens can showcase their skills, enjoy a bite to eat, and win fantastic prizes. This event is for youth aged 11 to 18. Registration is now open at coquitlam.ca/registration.

We acknowledge with gratitude and respect that the name Coquitlam was derived from the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ (HUN-kuh-MEE-num) word kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (kwee-KWET-lum) meaning “Red Fish Up the River”. The City is honoured to be located on the kʷikʷəƛ̓əm traditional and ancestral lands, including those parts that were historically shared with the q̓ic̓əy̓ (kat-zee), and other Coast Salish Peoples.
