Burquitlam Park includes open grass areas, pathways and planting beds spread over nearly two acres.
After closing in 2019, Burquitlam Park was revitalized through a partnership between the City, Concert Properties Ltd. and the YMCA. The project brings much-needed park space for a growing neighbourhood, including a 2.55-acre expansion of nearby Cottonwood Park made possible through a land exchange.
The renewed park is part of the larger Burquitlam Park Site redevelopment, where new homes, community amenities, and inviting outdoor spaces are coming together. Highlights include the Coquitlam Bettie Allard YMCA, a Community Police Station, a park-and-ride facility, and a mix of housing—all designed to help the community connect and thrive.
