What: BC Hydro Transmission Line Project – Pole Replacements
Where: South side of Como Lake Avenue between Blue Mountain Street and Thermal Drive
When: Work will be starting Sunday, August 30 until late September (weather dependent). Work will take place between the hours of 7 a.m. and 8 p.m., with potential of some night work.
Traffic Impacts: Traffic will be impacted. Traffic will be limited to single lane in each direction. There will be delays. Pedestrians detours will be in place while work is taking place. Traffic control personnel and signage will be in place to direct pedestrians in the area. Please plan an alternate route to avoid delays or plan extra time when using this route.
Driver Safety Reminder:
When traveling through the construction zone, please:
- Drive with extreme caution and follow construction speed limits.
- Keep a close watch for work crews and heavy machinery.
- Obey all construction signage and instructions from traffic personnel.
