Terms of Use

The information delivered on this web page (’Q the Map’) is provided as a public service by the City of Coquitlam (the ’City’) on the following terms.

In return for the City granting access to Q the Map, the person accessing Q the Map (the ’User’) agrees to and accepts these Terms of Use.

Q the Map is provided on an ’as is, where is’ basis. The City assumes no obligation or liability for the use of Q the Map by any person and makes no representations or promises regarding the completeness or accuracy of Q the Map or its fitness for a particular use.

The User will use Q the Map only for the User’s own internal business and personal purposes and may not re-sell, sublicence, or operate a service bureau using Q the Map, or otherwise reproduce, publish or disseminate Q the Map for commercial purposes, without the prior written consent of the City.

All right, title and interest (including all copyright, patent, and other intellectual property rights) in Q the Map remain vested in the City at all times. The City’s original copyright and other proprietary notices included with Q the Map must remain intact at all times.

The User will indemnify the City and its officials, employees and agents from and against all losses, claims, demands, actions, payments, expenses, costs, suits, and damages (including any damages that are direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential), whether or not caused by the negligence of the City, or its officials, employees or agents, which are incurred by the City and would not or could not have been incurred but for the User’s use of Q the Map or the User’s breach of these Terms of Use.

Failure of the User to comply with these Terms of Use will result in the automatic termination of the User’s rights to access Q the Map.

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, and the User now irrevocably agrees that the courts of British Columbia will have exclusive jurisdiction over all matters relating to these Terms of Use. If any part of these Terms of Use are found to be unenforceable, then that part will be severed so that the remainder of these Terms of Use can continue to be enforceable.

The User is reminded that all lot sizes and legal descriptions should be confirmed at the Land Title Office and the User should not rely on Q the Map for this information.
