The City's contractor will be starting road safety improvements along Guildford Way between Johnson Street and Pinetree Way. Work will be completed in phases starting with the westbound lanes. Work will start on July 2 and will be ongoing until September.
What: Protected bike (micromobility) lanes, bus stop improvements, and traffic signal upgrades
Where: Westbound Lanes on Guildford Way from Johnson Street to Pinetree Way (Location Map)
When: Work in the westbound lanes will start on Tuesday, July 2 and will be ongoing until September. Work will take place weekdays between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Traffic Impacts: During active construction, traffic flow will be impacted. Westbound traffic will be limited to a single lane (with occasional turn restrictions at intersections). The work will be completed in phases starting in the westbound lanes on Guildford Way starting at Johnson Street to Pinetree Way. Cyclist will be required to share the road with drivers during certain phases of construction. Signage will be in place to direct road users. Please plan an alternate route to avoid delays or plan extra time when using this route.
