COQUITLAM, B.C., August 4, 2026 – City Centre Aquatic Complex (CCAC) will be temporarily closed starting Tuesday, September 1 for annual maintenance work and deep cleaning of the pool, fitness centre and café.
The fitness centre will reopen on September 9, with the pool and café scheduled to reopen on October 5.
From September 9 to October 4, the fitness centre will be open:
- Monday to Friday: 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
- Saturdays: 5:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Sundays: Closed
The front desk will close 30 minutes before the fitness centre. No admissions will be permitted after the front desk closes.
Vital Maintenance and Upkeep
The closure is necessary for maintenance and cleaning that cannot be completed while the facility is open. It ensures a safe environment for staff and the public, reduces the likelihood of equipment failures and extends the life of this important City asset.
Alternative Swim and Fitness Options
Poirier Sport & Leisure Complex at 633 Poirier Street will still be open to patrons during this time. The complex’s hours of operation are 6 a.m. – 10 p.m., seven days a week, excluding holidays. For schedules and other details, visit coquitlam.ca/PSLC.
Outdoor swimming is also available at Mundy Park Pool (655 Hillcrest Street) until October 5 and Eagle Ridge Pool (2689 Guildford Way) until September 7. Visit coquitlam.ca/OutdoorPools for details.
