Burke Mountain Athletic Park (Joint School/Park Site)

The Burke Mountain Athletic Park, located at 3390/3400 David Avenue, is a new multi-use outdoor sport and recreation facility being developed in Northeast Coquitlam (Burke Mountain) to support the growing community.

Located alongside the Burke Mountain Middle/Secondary School, which is being built by School District 43 (SD43), the park is designed as a shared community space that will provide year-round access to sport fields, courts and active recreation amenities.

Park Amenities

The Burke Mountain Athletic Park will include:

  • 400-m running track with lighting
  • Artificial turf field
  • Four full-sized tennis courts
  • On-site parking and accessible washrooms for park users available after school hours (open once school site construction is complete)

Status: Opening September 25

The park is almost complete! Be among the first to experience the new park at the official opening celebration:

  • Friday, September 25
  • 5 – 7 p.m.
  • Rain or Shine

Bring your family, friends and neighbours to celebrate with an evening of free activities, including a ride-on train, mini golf, sport try-its and refreshments (while supplies last).

Getting Here: We encourage event goers to walk or roll over to the park. If you drive, a free, wheelchair accessible shuttle will be available from Minnekhada Middle School (1390 Laurier Avenue).  The shuttle will run every 20 mins from 4:15 to 7:15 p.m. The onsite parking is still under construction and will open once the school is completed.
