Glen Pine Pavilion has volunteer opportunities that suit many different interests. From food service, crafts, games, sports to computer classes, you would surely find an activity that is of interest to you.
Some volunteer activities include the following:
Bistro Bar Cashier
The Bistro Bar is the place where the cash bar site is operated from at special events. It is located on the second floor of the Glen Pine Pavilion. This person will assist the bartender on duty to help ring in cash sales from the bar. A Bistro Bar Cashier should:
- Be comfortable handling cash
- Be able to count cash and make changes
- Get along with others
- Have good customer service skills
- Be able to assist regularly
Sports & Fitness: Bocce Coordinator
The goal of this position is to socialize while playing Bocce with other members. Glen Pine Pavilion is a community centre for adults and older adults age 50 and up. Being the coordinator of a sporting activity requires regular attendance at the scheduled activity and be able to foster good social relationships among the group members or participants.
Host / Hostess
Help greet members and assist with refreshments at Special Events and New Members’ Orientation.

Qualifications Required
Volunteers must be 13 years of age or older and successfully complete the application process which includes:
- Police Information check
- Reference Check
- Orientation Session
- Other qualifications may be required depending on activity
