Do you love hiking and hitting the trails? Does our network of trails have a special meaning to you? The Adopt-a-Trail Program offers volunteer opportunities for you to contribute to the beauty of our community’s trail system, making a difference in our community.
Those who can become adopters of specific trails include:
- community organizations
You are responsible for donating your time to help maintain our trails. We provide supplies for picking up litter and removing graffiti and provide training and support. Adopt-a-Trail volunteers:
- Complete an activity log after each visit
- Keep the trail clean from litter
- Report trail hazards, vandalism or unusual activity
The trail adoption is a minimum of one year and volunteers will be recognized with signage at various points along the trail. Volunteers commit to visit their assigned trail once a week from April to October and once a month from November to March.
Interested individuals must complete the screening process, fill out the applicable forms and attend an orientation/training session before trail stewardship activities begin.
