Led by Ipsos, a global leader in market research, Coquitlam’s annual, statistically-valid Citizen Satisfaction survey, provides valuable information that helps guide corporate planning processes at the City including budgeting, strategic planning and business planning. Survey questions cover a variety of topics including level of satisfaction with City services, important community issues, and questions around quality of life.
Participation in the survey is voluntary and confidential – but encouraged.
Survey results will be posted here and shared on our social media channels later in 2021.
2019 Survey Results
Note: due to COVID-19 no survey was conducted in 2020.
The 2019 Citizen Satisfaction Survey, conducted by Ipsos, asked a range of questions around quality of life, important issues, City services and financial planning. The survey also included information about communication and community engagement. The statistically-valid results provide sound insight into what the City is doing well, areas for improvement, and changing or emerging trends.
On the whole, Coquitlam residents are highly satisfied:
98% said they have a good quality of life
96% said they are satisfied with the services provided by the City
88% said they receive good value for their tax dollars
