COQUITLAM, BC, Oct. 3, 2022 – Advance polls are officially open today, making voting in Coquitlam’s General Local Election easier than ever.
Advance Voting Opportunities:
Advance voting opportunities will take place from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the following locations and dates:
- Centennial Pavilion (620 Poirier St.) – Oct. 6, 8 and 11
- Innovation Centre (1207 Pinetree Way) – Oct. 3, 5, 8 and 12
- Victoria Community Hall (3435 Victoria Dr.) – Oct. 8
All locations are wheelchair accessible and offer curbside voting. Find a location nearest you at coquitlam.ca/vote.
When is Election Day?
General voting day is Saturday, Oct. 15. Voters can cast their ballot at any one of the 23 voting locations spread throughout the community from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. All voting locations offer curbside voting and are also wheelchair accessible.

Please bring at least two documents that, in combination, show proof of identity and place of residence. At least one must contain your signature. Acceptable examples include a BC Care Card, BC Driver’s Licence, Birth Certificate, or a Property Tax Notice issued by the City of Coquitlam. Other examples and other voter eligibility requirements are available at www.coquitlam.ca/vote.
Positions and Candidate Information
In the 2022 Coquitlam general local election, voters will elect:
- one mayor
- eight councillors
- four school board trustees for School District 43
