COQUITLAM, B.C., May 24, 2024 – Coquitlam is hosting the City-Wide Garage Sale and Giveaway event this weekend, encouraging residents to give pre-loved treasures a new home and help keep items out of the landfill.
Visit over 150 registered garage sales across the City on Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Garage Sale Listings Online
People wanting to visit the garage sales can view the participating addresses in a printable list or an online map at coquitlam.ca/GarageSale.
Both options list participant details, including the addresses and locations of each garage sale, which days they are participating, and if they have garage sale items or any items for giveaway. They also indicate the type of items available, such as books and toys, clothing, electronics, household decoration and furniture, lawn and garden tools and sports equipment.
Shopping Tips:
• Respect participants’ advertised sale time – please don’t arrive early.
• Respect private property and don’t trample gardens, block driveways or double-park.
• Drive carefully and watch for pedestrians and pets.
• Bring your own reusable shopping bags, small bills and change for smaller purchases.
Spring Clean-Up Sale
Also on Sunday, May 26, the City is hosting a Spring Clean-Up Sale in Spirit Square, 3000 Burlington Drive from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Shop for gently used clothes, housewares, books, toys, and other pre-loved goods. With an outdoor concession, it’s the perfect midday pit-stop. Make sure to pop by!
