COQUITLAM, B.C., June 13, 2024 – Join us at Town Centre Park on Monday, July 1 for an unforgettable, free day of fun at Canada Day. Recognizing that Canada Day holds different meanings for different people, Coquitlam is committed to creating an inclusive event that honours all perspectives.
As the largest event in the Tri-Cities, Canada Day in Coquitlam highlights community and multiculturalism with exciting performances, food trucks, engaging activities, and a spectacular fireworks finale.
A Full Day of Entertainment
Starting at noon, visitors can enjoy two stages with musical performances, community and City exhibits, a variety of food trucks, an eco zone, adventure games, e-bike and scooter demo area, full-site liquor service, and a fireworks finale at 10 p.m.
Headliner The Boom Booms, with their unique blend of Tropical Disco Rock, will take to the Town Centre Community Plaza stage at approximately 8:30 p.m. Their upbeat, uplifting music with a lot of heart will sure bring the good vibes.

Family Friendly Activities
The 8,000-square-metre (86,000-square-foot) festival lawn near the Town Centre Park Community Plaza will be home to:
- Adventure Games – Stop by for exciting and fun active games for a variety of ages, skills and abilities, including mini golf, a climbing wall, and get your roll on at the Neuron and Lime scooter and e-bike demo area.
- Eat Street – Our food truck partners offer a delightful array of multicultural cuisines, ensuring an inclusive dining experience for everyone. Enjoy a wide selection of dishes, including vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options, catering to all dietary needs and preferences. Eat Street is sponsored by Tricity Mitsubishi.
- Eco Zone – Join the City's environmental team and local environmental organizations for fun and interactive environmental activities, sponsored by Meadowridge School.
- Coquitlam Lane – Take some fun pictures in the giggle booth and learn about the City’s parks, first response services and what the City is doing in Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. Coquitlam’s Tree Spree team will be on site with free tree giveaways courtesy of Tree Spree's corporate partner, Emperor Stone.
- The Meadow – Discover the various cultural groups, art organizations and merchants and corporate partners from the community. The Meadow Stage will feature cultural music performances throughout the day.

Accessible Canada Day Event
Coquitlam strives to create experiences for people of all ages and abilities. On Canada Day this includes providing:
- Designated accessible pickup/drop-off locations
- ASL interpretation provided during the opening and closing ceremonies at the Main Stage
- Accessible parking and entrances
- Accessible stage-viewing areas
- An accessible viewing area for fireworks
- Multilingual volunteers and staff

Getting to Canada Day in Coquitlam
Coquitlam’s Town Centre Park is located at 1299 Pinetree Way, with access points on Pinetree Way and David Avenue. Visitors are encouraged to walk, ride, or take transit to Canada, as parking is limited.
- Transit – The Canada Day event is located a short ten-minute walk from the Lafarge Lake-Douglas SkyTrain station, with a clearly marked, paved path leading to the event grounds.
- Bike – Attendees who choose to ride their bike or scooter to the event can access the free on-site bike valet service stationed along Trevor Wingrove Way.
- Pick-up/drop-off – There will be pick-up and drop-off areas in parking lot A, on the west side of the park off Trevor Wingrove Way adjacent to Pinetree Way.
- Accessibility – Wheelchair accessible pick-up and drop-off is available on Guildford Way near Eastwood throughout the event.
- Vehicle – For those who arrive by vehicle, free parking will be available in the lots off Trevor Wingrove Way, at Douglas College and Pinetree Community Centre surface lots.
Pinetree Way between Guildford Way and Pinewood Avenue will be closed to traffic from 9:30 – 11 p.m. for the fireworks display.
