Voluntary Residential Water Meter Application Form

    Applicant is the registered property owner and has the support of all other registered owners (multi-family applications to be submitted by an authorized representative of the strata).

    Applicant has read the online Frequently Asked Questions.  Key considerations include:

    • Timing – approved applications received in 2025 will have a meter installed in 2026, with metered billing beginning in 2027
    • Applicant Cost – Meter installation cost depends on meter size

  5. Note: Distributed over three years*

    Distributed over three years, with three bills per year, for a total of nine payments. Payments will be charged against the property and included on the utility bill. If the property is sold before the payments are completed, the payment responsibility will transfer to the new owner and it is the applicant’s responsibility to notify the new owner.

  6. Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act*

    By submitting this form, you are consenting to the collection of your personal information for the purposes of the City’s Residential Water Metering Program in accordance with Section 26(c) of the BC Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
