    Theologian’s Café: Religious Tolerance

In a religiously diverse society such as ours, religious tolerance is considered to be a civic virtue and perhaps even a necessity. But what does it mean to be tolerant of another person’s religion? And is “tolerance” the ultimate virtue in this context? Do you think the world would be a better place if everyone believed the same things you do?  You will have a chance both to air your views and to listen to those of others on religious, spiritual and related topics. Participants from all religious affiliations (and those without one) are welcome to this non-denominational Café.
The moderator for the program is John Slattery, a former Philosopher’s Café moderator at Dogwood Pavilion. He has degrees in Physics, Philosophy, Education and a Certificate in Theological Studies. He has also taken courses in mediation at the Justice Institute.
