With the new year, we will have a staff change. Lorraine Hauser, Recreation Coordinator at Dogwood Pavilion, retired on January 13. After 40+ years working for the City she is off on her next adventure – retirement. Watch for her, she is likely to show up in pavilion activities as a participant.
As the year progresses we will follow the public heath orders. We plan to introduce more programs and bring back events that we have all enjoyed in the past, when it is safe to do so.

Evergreen Tunnel Reveals Geological History Drilling done in preparation of the Evergreen Line Tunnel unexpectedly discovered a buried fjord filled with sediments deposited during three ice ages. Lionel Jackson, Adjunct Professor of SFU's Department of Earth Sciences, studied cores from this drilling. He will talk about what the sediments in the drilling cores reveal about the geological history of our local area including several inundations by the sea, burial by glaciers and vanished forests.
