Public Hearing

This public hearing is for Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 5396, 2024, which will update the Evergreen Line Core and Shoulder Station Areas map. This map is a part of the City's Zoning Bylaw and outlines specific zoning rules based on proximity and access to SkyTrain stations. Currently, some properties within this area are not aligned with the province's new rules that set minimum density allowances near transit stations.

The update will adjust the boundaries of the 'core' area to align with provincial guidelines and expand the 'shoulder' areas accordingly.

A Public Hearing is needed for this bylaw because recent provincial mandates that eliminate such hearings for residential development do not apply in this case.
