COQUITLAM, B.C., September 2, 2026 – Celebrate Culture Days from September 18 to October 4 with free workshops, exhibitions, public art tours and community events that showcase Coquitlam’s vibrant arts and culture community.
Culture Days begins on Friday, September 18, at Town Centre Park Community Centre (1207 Pinetree Way) with the Culture Days Kick Off and Visual Arts Exhibition Reception. Residents are invited to connect with local artists, learn about Culture Days programming taking place across the city, and celebrate this fall’s new Visual Arts Exhibitions while enjoying complimentary refreshments.
2026 Visual Arts Exhibition
Running from September 18, 2026 to March 1, 2027, the City's 2026 Visual Arts Group Exhibition features the theme City Life: Art Inspired by Urban Living. This exhibition at Town Centre Park Community Centre showcases the work of local artists whose pieces explore the energy, diversity and everyday experiences of urban life. At Coquitlam City Hall, a second exhibition will be on display by Coquitlam artist Miranti Aisyah entitled In Transit, a series of photographs taken around public transit in the Lower Mainland, the coastal waters of B.C. and Indonesia.

Designed for visual artists who are new to the community, Creative Connections: A Workshop Series for Newcomer Artists is a free three-part program introducing participants to local arts organizations, exhibition opportunities, ways to share their artistic practice and opportunities to connect with the local arts community.
