Weight Room Access for Youth
Youth ages 13 – 15 can pre-register to use the weight rooms at the Innovation Centre and Poirier Sport and Leisure Complex. To register for a time slot, please phone our registration line at 604-927-4386.
You must have completed a mandatory youth fitness orientation prior to registering.
Reach your fitness goals faster with the help of a personal trainer. Whether you are new to the gym or an experienced fitness lover, a personal trainer can teach you new exercises, keep you motivated and help you work out effectively and efficiently. Stay Active at Home
The World Health Organization recommends that adults get 150 minutes - that’s 30 minutes at least five times per week - of moderate-intensity physical activity throughout the week.
Our Fitness instructors are offering online fitness classes for all activity levels using the Zoom platform. See the weekly schedule and register here.
Don’t have all the necessary equipment? Don’t worry – the instructor will show you how to use ordinary household items as fitness equipment.

Check out the CoquitlamSPIRIT web page for free resources, including instructional videos for all fitness levels, written workout plans and fitness tips.
For other specialty classes, you will be notified at registration if you need to fill out a Par-Q Plus Form (PDF) - "The Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire for Everyone." Depending on your answers, you may also be required to visit your doctor before attending our fitness classes.
