[ARCHIVED] Avoid Late Fees on 2023 Utility Bills

A woman and a man sit at a coffee table with a silver laptop, calculator and paperwork. Coquitlam homeowners have a few days left to pay their 2023 utility bills.

COQUITLAM, B.C., March 23, 2023 – Coquitlam homeowners have a few days left to pay their 2023 utility bills.

Utility bills were issued at the end of February and cover the costs for water service, sewer service, garbage and green waste collection. The cost for these utility services is charged separately from property taxes and supports operating costs as well as the replacement of aging infrastructure such as pipes, reservoirs and pumps.

Utility payments are due March 31, 2023. After this date, a five per cent penalty will be added to amounts unpaid.

Receive reminders and important information regarding your utility bill and property tax by subscribing to the Property Tax and Annual Utility Bill Reminders NotifyMe list. Visit www.coquitlam.ca/notifyme to subscribe.
