This year’s price increase, from $20 to 25, was the first-ever increase while continuing to provide excellent value for local families. Additionally, the City has frozen regular drop-in rates and ONE PASS fees until March 2024 to help support access to recreation in the community.
Those eligible for the City’s Financial Assistance for Recreation program receive 50 free drop-in visits and a credit of $225 for each family member, which can be used for a range of admissions, passes, programs, lessons, exam fees, supplies, equipment rentals and more. We acknowledge with gratitude and respect that the name Coquitlam was derived from the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ word kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (kwee-kwuh-tlum) meaning “Red Fish Up the River”. The City is honoured to be located on the kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (Kwikwetlem) traditional and ancestral lands, including those parts that were historically shared with the sq̓əc̓iy̓aɁɬ təməxʷ (Katzie), and other Coast Salish Peoples.
