COQUITLAM, B.C., September 14, 2023 – Tap into your creative spirit in September and October as Coquitlam joins communities across Canada in celebrating Culture Days from September 22 to October 15.
Culture Days is an opportunity for hands-on, interactive events that invite the public to the behind-the-scenes world of artists and creators.
Join Us in Coquitlam’s Town Centre Park on Saturday, September 23
At the heart of Coquitlam’s Culture Days programming this year is an Indigenous arts and culture event at Town Centre Park Community Plaza on Saturday, September 23 from 1 – 3 p.m.
Enjoy a vibrant performance and an engaging workshop:
- Wild Moccasin Dancers – An intertribal dance collective that expresses their gifts through songs, dances and storytelling.
- 2 Métis Women – An interactive workshop presenting the ancient skill of finger weaving. Participants will not only learn how to finger weave using the Métis technique but also the importance of intertwining traditional culture with modern day.
