Coquitlam is hosting the City-Wide Garage Sale and Giveaway event this weekend.

COQUITLAM, B.C., Sept. 22, 2023 – Coquitlam is hosting the bi-annual City-Wide Garage Sale and Giveaway event this weekend Saturday, September 23 and Sunday, September 24 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Garage Sale Listings Online

View the participating addresses through the online map or print out a list of addresses found at coquitlam.ca/GarageSale.

The online map lists details including the addresses and locations of each participating garage sale, which days they are participating, and if they have items for sale or to give away.

Details also include the type of items such as books and toys, clothing, electronics, household decoration and furniture, lawn and garden tools, sports equipment and more.

Shopping Tips:

  • Respect participants’ advertised sale time – please don’t arrive early.
  • Respect private property and don’t trample gardens, block driveways or double-park.
  • Drive carefully and watch for pedestrians and pets.
  • Bring your own reusable shopping bags, small bills and change for smaller purchases.

We acknowledge with gratitude and respect that the name Coquitlam was derived from the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ (HUN-kuh-MEE-num) word kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (kwee-KWET-lum) meaning “Red Fish Up the River”. The City is honoured to be located on the kʷikʷəƛ̓əm traditional and ancestral lands, including those parts that were historically shared with the q̓ic̓əy̓ (kat-zee), and other Coast Salish Peoples.
