COQUITLAM, B.C., January 23, 2024 – Spring program registration is right around the corner, starting with swimming lesson registration on January 30 at 8:30 a.m. Find fitness classes, music lessons, early years education programs, gardening workshops and more happening from April to June 2024.

- Swimming: Tuesday, January 30
- Skating: Tuesday, February 6
- Pro-D Day Camps: Tuesday, February 13
- General: Tuesday, February 20
Non-Residents
- Swimming: Thursday, February 1
- Skating: Thursday, February 8
- Pro-D Day Camps: Thursday, February 15
- General: Thursday, February 22
All programs are viewable online at coquitlam.ca/registration at least four days in advance of resident registration. Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. online, in-person and over the phone. Call 604-927-4386 or register in person at most recreation facilities.
Priority Registration for Coquitlam Residents
Coquitlam residents are able to register for programs 48 hours in advance of the general public. This system helps to ensure that Coquitlam’s residents and taxpayers have the first priority when registering for programs in their community.
Winter program registration in November 2024 was the first time Coquitlam launched priority registration for residents. After carefully tracking registration numbers, we found that after resident registration days, there were still many program spots available when registration opened to the general public.
Prepare for Registration Day
To prepare for the upcoming registration period, we encourage all users to review their online registration account information in advance. Make sure your address is complete and accurate including:
- Your street is spelled correctly and includes your house number and unit number for multi-dwelling units
- Coquitlam is spelled correctly with no abbreviations
- Your postal code is included
Financial Assistance Available for Recreation
It is now easier than ever to access financial support for Coquitlam’s recreation services. The City’s Financial Assistance for Recreation program is more user-friendly with a much simpler application process and income verification, and more flexibility than ever. Each year, qualifying Coquitlam residents will receive 50 free drop-in visits plus a $225 credit they can use for an expanded range of admissions, passes, programs, lessons, exam fees, supplies, rentals and more.
