[ARCHIVED] More Breaks, More Fun: Coquitlam’s School’s Out Pass is Here

Kids and teens up to 18 can enjoy unlimited drop-in activities at Coquitlam’s pools and recreation centres during summer, winter, and spring breaks—all for just $25.

COQUITLAM, B.C., May 13, 2025 – Kids and teens up to 18 can enjoy unlimited drop-in activities at Coquitlam’s pools and recreation centres during summer, winter, and spring breaks—all for just $25. The School’s Out Pass is your ticket to nonstop fun during school breaks from June 28, 2025 to March 29, 2026. Passes go on sale Monday, June 2.

Activities for Every School Break

Passholders can enjoy a variety of fun drop-in activities for every major school break, including the following.

  • Public swimming at indoor and outdoor pools
  • Drop-in sports, including basketball, badminton and volleyball
  • Drop-in skating
  • For youth aged 13 to 18, fitness centres and drop-in fitness classes (teens 13 to 15 must complete a fitness orientation before participating)

How to Get Your Pass

Coquitlam’s School’s Out Pass can be purchased by phone at 604-927-4386 or in person at any of these facilities.

  • Poirier Sport & Leisure Complex (633 Poirier Street)
  • City Centre Aquatic Complex (1210 Pinetree Way)
  • Maillardville Community Centre (1200 Cartier Avenue)
  • Pinetree Community Centre (1260 Pinetree Way)
  • Town Centre Park Community Centre (1207 Pinetree Way)
  • Dogwood Pavilion (1655 Winslow Avenue)
  • Glen Pine Pavilion (1200 Glen Pine Court)

Those purchasing passes by phone will need to have photos taken and a card printed at one of the facilities above. For more information, visit coquitlam.ca/SchoolsOut.

Coquitlam offers a variety of low-cost or free activities each summer, including:

Affordable Recreation Access

Coquitlam strives to make recreation affordable and accessible for all residents, and has provided discounted fun during school breaks since 2015. 

In addition to the School’s Out Pass, the City also offers the Financial Assistance for Recreation program. Those eligible receive 50 free drop-in visits and a credit of $225 for each family member, which can be used for a range of admissions, passes, programs, lessons, equipment rentals and more.
