Enhanced CCAC to Meet Increased Demand
The expansion and renovation project is intended to address current needs at CCAC, which usually operates at or over capacity, while providing more opportunities and addressing future growth in the area and city.
New features will include a more welcoming lobby entrance and new concession, a reorganized and larger fitness centre and studio, expanded multi-use spaces and a renovated administration area. The improvements are expected to increase visits by 65,000 per year and allow for more services and programs.
The $5-million project is funded through Coquitlam’s 2021 to 2025 Capital Plan and is part of the City’s long-term strategy to renew and maintain its recreation facilities to support the growing community.

Staying Safe with Coquitlam Recreation
Safety protocols are in place at all City facilities to ensure the safety of program participants and staff. In compliance with the Provincial Mask Mandate Order, masks are required in all indoor facilities with exemptions as outlined in the provincial Order. For example, a mask is not required when participating in a fitness activity, but it must be worn as you move around the facility.
Coquitlam Recreation is continually adapting to meet the requirements of updated Public Health Orders and we appreciate your patience as we may need to make last minute changes. If programs are cancelled due to Provincial Health Orders, customers will receive an account credit, or you can request a refund on your original method of payment. Please call 604-927-4386 for assistance.
