[ARCHIVED] Coquitlam Income Tax Clinics Support Seniors

Senior Talking on the Phone Seniors can receive support filing their 2020 Income Tax Returns through Coquitlam’s Seniors Pavilions.

COQUITLAM, B.C., April 9, 2021 – Seniors can receive support filing their 2020 Income Tax Returns through Coquitlam’s Seniors Pavilions. Phone appointments are available until April 30.

Service Adapted to Keep Seniors Safe

Due to current Public Health Orders, Income Tax appointments will not be done in person and instead, seniors can register to receive a phone call and complete their 2020 income tax return with a Canada Revenue Agency trained volunteer. All supporting documents will need to be dropped off at Dogwood or Glen Pine Pavilion by 3 p.m. the day prior to the scheduled call.

In order to be eligible for this free service, individuals must be over 50 years of age with low income or receiving any disability pension. Income guidelines are $35,000 and under for a single individual and $45,000 and under for a couple. Only simple tax returns are accepted; no deceased final returns.
