[ARCHIVED] Capture Coquitlam with Local Spirit and Appreciation

Bike Ride on DeBoville Slough

COQUITLAM, B.C., June 2, 2021 – While we patiently wait to safely explore our favourite communities again, Tourism Coquitlam wants residents and past visitors to share their local spirit.

While our experiences have been different over the past year, we want everyone to Capture Coquitlam through sharing their memories and experiences on social media.

Follow @visitcoquitlam on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter from now until June 30, 2021 for opportunities to share your best photographs and stories, to be featured on their website and social media channels, and to win prize packages from local businesses including restaurants and retailers.

How to Participate

Tune in to Tourism Coquitlam’s social media channels to get photo prompts. Submit your captures of Coquitlam on the Tourism Coquitlam webpage at www.visitcoquitlam.ca/capturecoquitlam and/or tag your photos with #CaptureCQ. Follow along to be inspired and learn something new from your neighbours. Captures will be prompted spanning the following topics:

  • Views
  • Local Businesses
  • Hiking Trails
  • Natural Spaces
  • Patios
  • Adventure Spots
  • Dog Parks or Trails
  • Cultural Landmarks
  • Coquitlam Neighbourhoods
  • Local Parks

By submitting your captures, you are automatically entered to win multiple giveaways and contests each week with prizes ranging from gift cards to goods and services from Coquitlam businesses, and special gift packages.

Showcase Your Business

Are you a local business interested in getting involved with the Capture Coquitlam campaign? The City will be purchasing gift cards and prize packages for contest giveaways. Businesses with gift cards or prize packages for sale from $50 to $100 are invited to contact our Economic Development Office at 604-927-3913 or email tourism@coquitlam.ca. Businesses selected for the prize purchases will be done on a first come, first served basis.
