[ARCHIVED] Learn About Accessibility in the Post-COVID Era

COQUITLAM, B.C., June 9, 2021 – Learn how you can support an accessible community in the post-COVID era, by participating in an online speaker event on Tuesday, June 15. 

Organized by the City of Coquitlam’s Universal Access-Ability Advisory Committee (UAAC), the speaker panel Promoting Accessiblity in the Post COVID-19 Era will reflect on how the pandemic has affected accessibility and discuss opportunities to improve accessibility post-COVID.

Event Details

When: Tuesday, June 15 – 7-8:30 p.m.
Where: Via Zoom

The panel will feature:

  • Lois McNary, Vice President of Sport for Special Olympics BC; 
  • Jenna Christianson-Barker, a faculty member for Douglas College’s Disability & Community Studies Department; and 
  • Ana Karanovic, Program Coordinator for the BC Wheelchair Sports Association.

All participants 18+ will be entered to win a $100 gift card, which can be used at any City parks, recreation and culture facility.
