[ARCHIVED] Coquitlam Wants to Know: What Does Fitness Mean to You?

COQUITLAM, B.C., Nov. 25, 2021 – Coquitlam is launching a new interactive fitness campaign to inspire and celebrate healthy living in the community.

Share Your Story

The City is calling for stories from its residents about their unique journeys in active living and fitness to be shared as inspiration for the community.

Fitness doesn’t have to mean long workouts in the gym - while it may be so for some. Fitness could take the form of adding in a daily walk that allows for connection to nature or a new stretching routine that calms the mind. It could mean improvements to overall mental health through regular movement, or even changing nutritional habits. It may be trying a new group fitness class for the first time; fitness means something different to each person.

Fitness storytellers will receive a special t-shirt and have their story published via the City’s social media accounts, website and more.

Together, as a community, we can inspire each other to lead healthy and active lives.
