Coquitlam will be removing proof of vaccination requirements from all programs and recreation activities as the relevant Provincial Health Officer (PHO) orders expire as of Friday, April 8, 2022.
COQUITLAM, B.C., April 7, 2022 – Coquitlam will be removing proof of vaccination requirements from all programs and recreation activities as the relevant Provincial Health Officer (PHO) orders expire as of Friday, April 8, 2022.
Over the last two years the City has aligned its COVID-19 response with provincial recommendations and orders, which have included requiring proof of vaccination for certain activities. The vaccination requirement was the last pandemic restriction still in place after the mask mandate, which required patrons to wear a mask in indoor public spaces including Coquitlam’s civic and recreation facilities, was removed at the beginning of March.
We recognize that people continue to have varying comfort levels and health considerations, and some may choose to continue to wear a mask in public spaces. We encourage kind, respectful interactions within our community.
