COQUITLAM, B.C., April 21, 2022 – Coquitlam residents looking for indoor or outdoor recreation opportunities will have plenty of choices this spring and summer.

Spots are still available in a variety of registered programs this spring; summer program registration will kick off April 27 for skating and swimming and May 18 for general recreation and fitness. Coquitlam’s outdoor pools, spray parks and wading pools will start to open later this spring as well.

Increasing Recreation Options Available

With the lifting of health restrictions, Coquitlam has been working to return recreation programming to pre-pandemic capacity.

Some late-spring registered programs still have openings, including outdoor recreation programs such as Backcountry Navigation, beginner and intermediate hikes (ages 16-plus), Eco Trekkers (ages 2-3 and 7-10), iRide Cycling BC Mountain Biking (ages 7-10), Little Nature Explorers (ages 3-5) and Little Creators: Nature (ages 2-3).

These and other outdoor recreation programs will also be offered this summer.
